A HIGHER ENGAGEMENT WITH OUR U.S. POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS
The establishment of VIDISCO U.S. subsidiary, VIDISCO USA, Inc. and the opening of its North American headquarters
Vidisco LTD., a leading manufacturer of portable x-ray inspection systems for the Security and Industrial markets, today announced the establishment of its U.S. subsidiary, VIDISCO USA, Inc. and the opening of its North American headquarters in Arlington, VA. The U.S. subsidiary will provide national sales and support to thousands of our U.S. clients, which include the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines, U.S. Special Operations Command, and more. The subsidiary company was formally established in March and has already hired top executives, support personnel, and logistics contractors to support Vidisco’s Security and NDE markets.
Security market is managed by U.S. Air Force veteran who brings more than twenty years of rich experience in the defense arena. While the NDE market will be led by a sales manager Level II in radiographic testing with broad professional experience in corporations such as Oceaneering and GE.
“This is an important milestone for Vidisco…" said Alon Feldman, Vidisco's VP Sales & Marketing. “Although we have been active in the U.S. market for almost 30 years, we have realized that it was time to further expand our activities and become even more accessible to our customers. By establishing a local U.S. entity, we are able to introduce innovations and gain a higher engagement with our current and potential customers.
Alon Guttel, Vidisco's CEO commented: “Through our U.S. subsidiary we are able to provide a direct and personal interface to the U.S. market, which will shorten response times and enable a more local and professional service for the hundreds of systems that are already deployed in the field. This is the first step towards establishing Vidisco USA, INC as the leading provider of portable DR solutions in the United States in both the security and NDE markets.”
Vidisco USA shares the same principles as its parent company, Vidisco LTD., putting field expertise, quality and efficiency, as the pillars that provide customers with the confidence needed in their quest to make a safer world.
"Guardian is the first eod x-ray system to be designed specifically for security..."
Said Alon Feldman, Vidisco's VP Sales & Marketing "Existing digital x-ray solutions were adapted from the medical market for security applications with minimal changes to address market needs. In the Guardian, every element has been created to address a requirement that came from the field. For example, we have developed a detachable handle on the panel. So, the operator can decide in real-time to capture a portrait image or a landscape image, enabling flexibility in complex surroundings, while enhancing the panel's stability. The system also includes two "hot-swappable" batteries, so the operator can charge one battery while using the other. For the past 30 years, we have been working closely with security EOD x-ray units around the world. During this time, we have developed unique image enhancement algorithms that help detect conventional and CBRN threats. Guardian features VEO v5.0, the latest version of our industry-leading software." Guardian includes additional optional accessories and features, such as integration with robots, a Dual Energy Module, which differentiates between organic and inorganic materials; an external camera that can be mounted on top of the X-ray source, a slider solution for large objects detection, and more. Guardian will be available at the beginning of March with two panel sizes, Guardian17 a 14”x17” panel and Guardian12 a 10”x12” panel and with a variety of configurations such as rugged case, backpack, laptop or tablet, wired or wireless connections with a range of up to 1.6km (1 mile).
