High Power WifiX
The High Power WiFiX, Vidisco’s answer to extra long range wireless communication, can operate digital radiography systems completely cable free from a distance of up to one mile (line of site). The High Power WifiX can easily connect to the laptop and panel or ICU of Vidisco’s portable X-ray systems. It is compact and lightweight as it weighs only 620 g (1.5 lb.). As with the rest of Vidisco’s systems, this accessory can easily be controlled with the VEO software.
FlashX Pro Flat Panel
With an imaging area of 34.2 X 43.2cm (13.5X17 in), the FlashX Pro imager is the largest DDA at Vidisco to date, yet it is 100% portable and can be used for various applications. RayzorX Pro Flat Panel
The world’s thinnest imager, just 13 mm thin, 14 bit (16,384 grey levels), with an imaging area of 22 x 22 cm (9 x 9”) is 100% portable and battery operated. The imager fits into the tightest spots and is suitable for high energies such as Co-60 and various high energy X-ray sources. Unique characteristics and design set this imager apart from all others. With an almost unlimited SNR (signal-to-noise ratio), this DDA will produce the best images you have ever seen.
External Extension Reel
Vidisco provides a standalone extension reel with three options of cable length: 50m, 65m, and 100m. When connecting the cable provided on this extension reel to the 35-50m cable already included in the Vidisco portable digital radiography system, one can achieve a wired communication of up to 150m combined. This communication distance is a key factor to increasing operator safety, as the X-ray testing process is controlled from far away.
The Slider XL, quadruples the scanning area of the FlashX Pro without compromising the resolution, penetration and dynamic range. This new accessory can scan large areas of up to 840 mm x 660 mm. The Slider XL, working with the FlashX Pro digital radiography system offers a dynamic range of 16 bit (65,536 grey levels), resolution of ~3.5 lp/mm (behind 3mm of steel) and a penetration which allows you to see 2 mm of lead behind 80 mm of steel. The Slider XL is ideal for field use as it is self-standing, portable, fully battery operated and has a built-in wireless option.
BoltX Pro Flat Panel
This CMOS technology based DDA is extremely small with a resolution of 75 micron, especially suited to detect hairline cracks and defects. With an imaging area of 14.5 X 11.5cm (5.7 X 4.5"), and weighing only 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs), it can be carried easily to every location.
The SmartX150 is a special extension reel which holds a cable, that is 150m long. When connecting this cable to the to the 50m cable on reel, which is provided with a Vidisco portable digital radiography system, a total maximum distance of 200m cable connection can be achieved. This wired communication facilitates transmission of data down the line, which enables the NDT operator to control the entire X-ray testing procedure from a safe distance.
XR-DE Plus Dual Enery Module
Dual Energy is a digital radiography imaging algorithm that enables the capture of multiple X-ray images of an item, while differentiating between organic and inorganic materials. Similar to airport dual energy standards, the Orange hue in the X-ray image implies organic materials, while a Green shade indicates soft inorganic materials (such as glass). Blue is the color used for "hard" inorganic (metallic) substances. With XR-DE Plus, Vidisco is the only Company in the market with a proven Dual Energy solution for pulsed X-ray sources, which is performed out in the field rather than inside a fixed X-ray cabinet.
The Silder 2X2 enables the RayzorX Pro DDA to take a maximum of 4 consecutive X-ray images without repeated approach to the inspected item, which is then automatically stitched together and displayed as one image. The panel and ICU are easily attached to the devise and carried as one to the inspection site. An imaging area of 44 X 44 cm is achieved, while maintaining all the panel’s original imaging characteristics (dynamic range, pixel size, etc).
Connection Cables for X-ray Sources
Vidisco produces special adapter cables that enable its systems to control most X-ray sources, which are on the market today. Full control of kV, mA and exposure time means having a fully synchronized solution. Vidisco's portable digital radiography systems are compatible with various constant potential X-ray sources as well as high frequency X-ray sources. Vidisco’s systems are also compatible with Isotopes (e.g Se-75, Ir-192, Co-60).
XRS-4 Pulsed X-ray Source
The newest and largest pulsed X-ray source from the house of Golden Engineering. The XRS-4 produces pulses of 370 KVP, and weighs 10 kg (22 lbs) including battery. It is powered by an 18V battery and produces a maximum of 199 pulses in 22 seconds.
XRS-3 Pulsed X-ray Source
XRS-3 produces maximum photon energy of 270KVP and canemit consecutively 99 pulses in 6.6 seconds. It weighs 5.4 Kg (approx. 12lbs) and can fit into a Vidisco system configuration casing. It is powered by a 14.4V battery and is supplied with 2 batteries and a charger. The XRS-3 dimensions are 35.6 cm (14”)X 11.5 cm (4.5”)X 19 cm (7.5”). It is compatible with Vidisco’s XR-DE Plus capabilities.
XR-200 Pulsed X-ray Source
The XR-200 produces maximum photon energy of 150KVP with a maximum duty cycle of 3000 pulses per hour (200 pulses every 4 minutes). Its dimensions are smaller than the XRS-3 (12.5” (31.75 cm) x 4.5” (11.5 cm ) x 7.5 “ (19 cm)) and it can also fit into a Vidisco portable System casing configuration and it is compatible with XR-DE Plus capability.
XR-150 Pulsed X-ray Source
The smallest member of the Golden Engineering family with dimensions of 10.5” (26.5 cm) x 3” (8 cm) x 4” (10 cm) and weighing only 2Kg (approx. 4.5lbs). It can produce 99 pulses in 9.9 seconds, with maximum photon energy of 150KVP. Its maximum duty cycle is 200 pulses counts in 8 minutes. It is powered by a 7.2 Volts Nickel-Cadmium sub C cells (6) battery and is supplied also with a charger.
DC/AC Car Inverter
Vidisco’s portable digital radiography system can be operated on power from a vehicle, using a standard DC/AC car inverter. The system is connected to the vehicle’s power source with cables that push power and data down the line and thus the ICU-X and DDA are powered from the vehicle for an unlimited time period.
Scene Camera (External Camera)
The scene camera (external camera) accessory connects to the ICU-X and the Golden pulsed X-ray source and provide images of the testing site during the radiography inspection. These images can serve as important documentation for the precise inspection location in which the testing was conducted. The scene pictures can be saved alongside the digital X-ray images in a comprehensive database for easy future reference.
Tripod Mounts for Field Positioning
Vidisco provides tripod mounts (adapters) in shapes that are especially designed to fit with BlazeX Pro (X shape) and RayzorX Pro (Boomerang shape) DDAs. These tripod mounts are compatible with standard tripods* and can be used in combination with the panel covers. FlashX Pro and BoltX Pro DDAs , as well as the ICU-X have a built in screwing tunnel that is suitable for off the shelf tripods. With these tripod mounting accessories and options, it is ensured that the equipment used for a field NDT can be easily placed and set up for inspection efficiently and quickly.

Imager Holder for DDAs
The imager holder contains a clasping devise and a bipod, thereby ensuring stability when setting up a DDA in an inspection site or in the lab. The imager holder can clasp the panels also when they are placed in their panel cover. There are two types of imager holders, one for BoltX Pro and the other, which is compatible with various panel thicknesses and serves to support the FlashX Pro, BlazeX Pro and RayzorX Pro DDAs. In addition the RayzorX Pro has an optional holding clip. The thin DDAs require a stabilizing factor in some setup situations. Vidisco provides the various imager holding kits with its portable digital radiography systems as a default accessory in the NDT configuration systems.
Protective Cover for RayzorX Pro DDA
The protective cover for RayzorX Pro DDA is filled with shock-absorbing material yet lightweight, and serves to provide protection for the digital panel enabling seamless operation in harsh conditions. The protective cover can also be used as a convenient vessel to hold various filter plates. The DDA and its filter are thus carried to the inspection site as one, both settled in the protective cover. The RayzorX Pro DDA can be inserted into its protective cover with its tripod mount* installed, for easier positioning options.

Filter Pocket Covers for DDAs
The filter pocket covers for BlazeX Pro and FlashX Pro were especially designed to enable easy insertion of panel filters, when these are required. The filter cover enables the NDT technician to carry both the DDA and the filter (e.g. cooper or tin) as one unit to the inspection point. The filter pocket cover has a pocket for the filtering plate at it’s front and a slot in its back side to enable the use of a tripod.*
